BURA NA MAANO, HOLI HAI!

You can run, you can hide, but you can’t escape…HOLI!
Holi is around the corner, and here’s a post on what you should be wearing and how you should be dressing up for this colourful festival.

Psst...if you have Gabbar’s number, text him saying – Holi is on 17th March befofe he asks –holi kab hai?’ OK. #BadPun

Getting back to the point...
Smearing coloured powders on each other’s face, squirting each other with water guns filled with coloured water, singing, dancing and celebrating – you can already imagine the fun, right?
In the midst of the celebrations, it is necessary to pay attention to your skin, and most importantly the clothes you wear.
I have listed down a few tips; if you find it helpful…do share it  :)

HOW TO DRESS UP FOR HOLI?
CLOTHES - Holi is a fun festival but it can cause havoc with your wardrobe. Yes, really. Wear clothes that cover as much skin as possible – like a high-neck or a full sleeve tshirt. Pick up something old and plain. Suggest, opt for white or light coloured clothes – the colours will look bright and dramatic on light-coloured clothes.
AVOID transparent and clingy clothes. It might just pull some unwanted attention. Flared and layered clothes are always advisable.

WHAT ELSE?
SKIN - Apply loads and loads of moisturizer before you start playing Holi. This will protect your skin against harmful chemicals. Once you are done with the celebration, wash your face with cold water. The colours might settle into your pores which could lead to acnes. Hence it is recommended to go for a clean up.
HAIR – Prevention is always better than cure. The strong chemicals in the colour can spoil your hair, leaving it dry and brunt. Hence make sure you champi (oil) your hair before you go out to celebrate! This will help to take off the colour easily when you wash them. A bandana or a cap is also a good option.
EYE CARE – You cannot stop people smearing your face with colour, can you? Just ensure it doesn’t harm your eyes. Avoid lenses, and wear your sunglasses.
NAILS – Apply thin coat of nail-hardener/transparent nail colour to avoid stains on your nails. Also, you can be as dramatic as you want with your nails. How about painting each with a different colour?
FOOTWEAR – Opt for simple flipflops. Remember, it’s a festival and not a party. Keep it simple and enjoy the day!

Be Safe. Have a Happy Holi!

HOW TO WEAR PALAZZO PANTS?

Palazzo Pants are a huge trend at the moment. The trend was very popular in the 30s and then again in 60s. There’s something very sexy about a woman wearing the Palazzo pants. It oozes confidence and power. These pants are extremely comfortable, easy to wear and create an illusion of a maxi-skirt since they flare-out from the knees below. It’s a must-have in your wardrobe if comfort is your style.

These pants team up perfectly with just about anything. Here are some ideas on how to rock the palazzo pants –

GO FORMAL, LOOK CASUAL!
Minimal accessories, wedges, and simple patterns are the trick to rock this look. Wear fitted tops or tuck your top in when wearing Palazzos as it gives the illusion of a taller frame. You are sure to rock that meeting if you carry this look well ;)

WITH CROP TOPS
If you are blessed with some great washboard abs, then crop top will never let you down.
P.S. - You can rock the boho look with a plain white lace crop top....trust me, it looks hot!

IF SHEER IS YOUR STYLE…
You can team up your pants with a nice sheer-patterned blouse. Sheers are perfect for garden parties and casual meets.

FOR PETITE WOMEN
A woman is generally considered to be petite if she is less than 5 foot 3 inches in height. Even petite women can rock the look if one gets the style right. Pairing it up with high wedges or heels will make a person look slimmer and taller.
